SET Ixworth, SET Beccles and SET Saxmundham Schools, part of the Seckford Education Trust (SET), will be opening their doors to help prospective students and their families as they explore their secondary education choices.

On 14 September, 4.30-7pm, students in Years 5 and 6 at local primary schools are invited to experience the bespoke education on offer at SET schools, including the small community environments and range of extra-curricular activities.

After the impact of the last 18 months, SET schools will be offering COVID-secure open evenings to give young people and their families an opportunity to tour the school site and grounds, meet teachers and the Heads of School, and talk to current students about their experience of school life.

Heads of School and the senior team will also be offering tailored ‘drop-in’ sessions, either at the school or virtually via Zoom or telephone.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mark Barrow is delighted to invite students and their families to the schools: “Moving from primary to secondary education is a milestone step in every child’s life, and it’s an important decision for parents and guardians to find the right education that suits their child individually.

“As we enter a new school year in September, we look forward to opening our doors and offering prospective students and their families an opportunity to experience our schools for themselves and to get a feel for what the Trust can offer.”

The Open Evenings at SET Beccles, SET Ixworth and SET Saxmundham schools are all hosted on 14 September and people can drop in any time between 4.30pm and 7pm, no need to book in advance.

The Seckford Education Trust also manages SET Causton Junior School and SET Maidstone Infant School in Felixstowe.
