When and why did you join the Seckford Education Trust?
My journey with SET Saxmundham School started in late 2017 as the Dyslexia Specialist.
How has the Seckford Education Trust supported your development?
Since joining, I have had the opportunity to develop my skills and was offered the chance to step into the role of Deputy SENCO in 2019. This has only been made possible by a Senior Leadership Team that recognises personal goals, encourage training and support career development.
Which specific aspects of the Seckford Education Trust’s CPD offer had the most impact on you?
I have had the chance to attend CPD sessions with experts in secondary school science.
What would you say to someone considering applying for a job within the Seckford Education Trust?
Our team at SET are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and supportive. It is clear from the start that caring for the students as individuals as well as learners is at the heart of the school and I have not looked back.
Where do you see yourself in the Seckford Education Trust in 5 years?
I love my job and watching my students overcome their difficulties makes me proud, so I hope to be leading on Dyslexia across the Trust.
