The Local Advisory Body (LAB) works in a similar structure and function to a school governing body. Seckford Education Trust has Local Advisory Bodies for each of its Schools.
The LAB for SET Ixworth School has two parents/carers, the Head of School, a Trustee with special interest in the School and a Local Authority representative. In addition, other members are nominated from a variety of fields and walks of life to bring their experience and skills to the School. This creates a strong and supportive team within our School, and across the wider Seckford Education Trust.
If this background strikes a chord with you and you’d like to be part of this community, then please take a few moments to consider if you would be able to contribute to the future growth and development of our School.
We are seeking new members on our LAB. Meetings are held once every half term, remotely at present, where the Head of School share updates on School progress and plans. The members collaborate, raise questions and ideas, discussing how best we can provide a solid and meaningful educational experience for our students.
If you are interested in joining our LAB and would like to discuss this further, please do get in touch with us either by calling SET Ixworth School on 01359 234050 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
